Q: WHAT MAKES YOUR WORK DIFFERENT FROM OTHER PHOTOGRAPHERS’ WORK?

A: Having specialized in newborn photography for 10 years, I have learned so much about those tiny creatures. I have a joy and love for newborn portraits. This is not a “job” for me. This is my passion.

Q: WILL WE GET THE PRINT RELEASE TO OUR PHOTOS?

A: yes! I release printing rights to www.mpix.com and www.shutterfly.com. I want your images to be beautiful and local printers just don’t do them justice.

Q: HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

A: the number of images you receive will vary by the package you choose.

Q: WHAT IF WE DON’T WANT OUR IMAGES SHARED ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

A: your privacy is at your discretion. if you would like your images not be shared via social media, sneak peeks, or on my website, please kindly let me know.

Q: IS THERE ANYTHING WE NEED TO BRING TO OUR NEWBORN SESSION?

A: aside from your basic travel necessities for your new little one, there is not a requirement for anything else. if you have a special or sentimental item you would like to be included in portraits, please let me know ahead of time so I can brainstorm how to incorporate them into your baby’s portraits.

Q: WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR PROPS?

A: props come from a wide variety of places! Everywhere from vendors who specialize in newborn props to your local TJMAXX.

Q: WHAT DO WE NEED TO DO TO PREPARE FOR OUR SESSION?

A: I only request that you feed the baby just before leaving for your session to ensure a very sleepy baby by the time you arrive and we get started.  

Q: HOW DO WE KNOW WHEN TO BOOK OUR NEWBORN SESSION?

A: your little one’s arrival can be within 2 weeks before or after your due date, possibly even before! with the uncertainties of when a baby will be delivered, I will hold off on scheduling your newborn session until your baby has arrived. Once you have delivered, we can schedule your session within 14 days of baby’s arrival.

Q: DO I HAVE TO ORDER PRINTS THROUGH YOU?

A: absolutely not! you are more than welcome to ask any questions regarding prints or books, I am always here to help; but you do not have to go through me to order them. If you want a specialty product (such as a large canvas or a gallery wall), I would be more than happy to help you order, figure out placements, & help you decide which photos to use.

Q: WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?

A: I shoot with a wide variety of Canon products. Currently I am shooting with a Canon R6 camera body and a variety of lenses. 

Q: WHAT IF MY NEWBORN DOESN’T COOPERATE?

A: it’s no issue, SWEAR! I have all the ingredients in my studio to make for a very sleepy baby.

Q: HOW DO WE RESERVE OUR SESSION?

A: I require a RETAINER of $150 + tax. the retainer will come out of your total package price and the balance will be due at/or before your newborn session. Cash, Checks & Paypal are accepted. Any returned checks are subject to a $50 fee.

Q: DO YOU GUARANTEE ANY CERTAIN POSES OR PROPS?

A: props change and vary. if you have a special request for a specific prop, let me know ahead of time and I can tell you if it’s still in inventory. poses are very different. sometimes I get babies that are not interested in certain poses & that’s okay. I will work hard to make sure you are satisfied with your portraits. no poses are ever guaranteed.
